Jim Kelleher has over twenty-eight years of State and Local Tax Experience with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, and more than 19 years in Big 4 as well as corporate experience with the Oil and Gas industry and the Software industry.
Jim has extensive experience handling compliance, consulting, systems and audits for state income and franchise tax for corporations and non-resident withholding for pass-through entities as well as sales and use tax compliance, consulting, systems and audits. He also has extensive expertise in all other state and local tax matters, with a focus on recognizing deal-related issues, including tax matters related to property tax, employment tax, excise tax, real estate transfer tax and unclaimed property matters.
Jim has led tax due diligence on more than 3,000 deals from multi-million dollar transactions to a $60 billion dollar deal. With these various clients, Jim has driven the tax analysis and structuring, for clients across many different industries, including healthcare, technology, financial services, manufacturing and distribution, construction, energy and telecom.
Jim holds a B.B.A. in International Business from the University of Georgia, a J.D. from Western New England University, and he received his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University School of Law.
